The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) offers a tax credit for businesses that make their websites accessible to people with disabilities. This credit is known as the Disabled Access Credit and is covered under Section 44 of the IRS Code.
To qualify for the Disabled Access Credit, a business must have gross receipts of $1 million or less in the preceding tax year or have 30 or fewer full-time employees. The credit covers 50% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $5,000 per year.
